About One Table

Global hunger is a shared problem we must work together to solve. That's why Mercy Corps is launching a campaign to fight hunger by investing in women.

When a woman succeeds in school or farming or business, she provides food, education and healthcare to her family. Her own health and well-being improves, her household becomes stronger and the entire community benefits.

That's why Mercy Corps sees investing in women as one of the smartest ways to end hunger — and improve the well-being of entire families.

Over the next year, we aim to raise $3 million, help bring about substantive changes to U.S. global hunger policy, and make a significant contribution to the growing global movement to eliminate world hunger.

We're calling our campaign One Table because we are coming together to learn, share, decide and take action. Everyone has something to bring to the table:

• Your voice. Urge Congress and President Obama to support the Roadmap to End Hunger, a comprehensive global strategy for the U.S. government, led by Mercy Corps and other NGOs.
• Your donations. Help women feed their families by making a generous gift today or by becoming a Hero Against Hunger and making a monthly contribution to our efforts.
• Your home. Host a potluck fundraiser at your house to support Mercy Corps' efforts to fight hunger by investing in women. Or, donate the money you would have spent at a restaurant.
• Your friends and family. Use Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to keep up with Mercy Corps' One Table campaign, and to tell your friends and family why hunger matters and what you have pledged to do to end it. Encourage them to join you in our One Table campaign.
