Half the Sky authors Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn were on Oprah yesterday. The show emphasized the power of people's actions to improve the lives of women around the world.
As the show aired, the Oprah team launched their "For All Women Registry," a new section of the Oprah website dedicated to aiding women in the developing world. Mercy Corps' efforts working with book clubs to improve the lives of women and their communities is featured here.
If you missed the show but still would like to see Kristof and WuDunn speak, I have found two great links. The first is a video of them speaking in a more academic setting at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC. Or check out Sheryl's interview earlier this week with Steven Colbert.
To learn of future opportunities to see Kristof and WuDunn and if you are on Twitter add MercyCorps where you can get updates on Mercy Corps, Half the Sky and the authors.
